My Tae Kwon Do Experience

I used to live in Belgium, ever since I was three years old. I had one best friend. I had a good school. I lived on a farm in the country and I had cows and chickens. And then one day my dad came home and said "We're going to move to Washington DC". Even though I was born in Washington, I couldn't remember it at all. So I got to Washington and we moved into our house and I started at a new school. I was really shy when I got to my new school. I just felt really bad every day. I always had lunch by myself. And then my mom told me about Yong Studios Tae Kwon Do.

The first day I went to Yong studios, my sister tried it out but I decided just to watch with my brother. And then I decided to join in. It was hard at first and I kind of got confused and then I went a few more times and I got used to it and I thought it was fun. In four months I learned my white belt basics. It was hard in those four months but I learned them finally. When I was at my graduation, at the end, I got my belt last because it was a special award and I got straight A's and no one else got straight A's except for me. And then Mr. Kim put the belt on me and I was really really happy and my parents felt like crying. And now I'm a gold belt and I know my combinations and my form. My mom thinks the form looks hard but it really isn't. My dad and mom are really proud of me. I'm more confident in school and now I have some friends, thanks to Tae Kwon Do!
